New innovations in the field of lasers and optics have introduced high-density white LED light engines for OEM fiber optic illumination. White light LEDs are rapidly becoming the most preferred source for light guide illumination in several technical applications which were once ruled by HID lamps and tungsten halogen. White LEDs offer operational advantages and substantial cost. LumiBright™ delivers up to 4,000 lumens into the light guide.
LumiBright have no additional optics and couple directly with the fiber bundles and liquid light guides. The light engines feature exclusive rights on their technologies that have non-imaging optics with chip-on-board (COB) LED arrays within the circuit boards. These functions provide ideal thermal management and optimum luminous efficacy. LumiBright light engines emit into numerical aperture and feature large source size that suits the diameter of light guide systems and other aspects such as cone angle.
This is a very unique design that results in lumens emitted from light guides.
The 2400B-400-W LumiBright Model has 0.66 numerical aperture (NA). The light guides are sized from 3.0 to 8.0 mm in diameter illuminating fiber bundles as well. The light guides are ideal for remote source illumination and applications in machine vision.
Similarly, the model 2400B-500-W has 0.60 NA and sizes from 3.0 to 5.0 mm in diameter. It is ideal for microscope illuminator and endoscope applications.
Nevertheless, the model 2400B-500-W includes wire harnesses, driver/controllers, and thermal management devices and produces up to 1500 lumens.
LumiBright™ illumination systems and light engines feature patent-pending optics and patented that collect, direct, and capitalize on output efficiency and uniformity.
